Concert Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and co-founder Tim Dufault has been appointed as a Public Director to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Board of Directors for a one-year term. Dufault’s term began on January 1, 2023 and is one of two Public Director positions on the 16-person board.
The AIA board focuses on establishing and guiding the strategic direction of the Institute and meets quarterly to assess the health of the organization and provide guidance and feedback to the Senior Leadership Team.
“I am excited and honored to be a part of the 2023 AIA Board. The Institute has grown substantially in its ability to serve its members and to build a vision for architects as leaders in the creation of beautiful, healthy, safe, and sustainable environments around the world” Dufault said. “I am impressed with the passion and commitment all the members of the board bring to our role as shapers of a brighter future for architecture.”
Dufault’s understanding and passion for how technology can shape the profession is one of the key reasons he was appointed to the Board. “The design industry is changing at a breakneck pace as new technologies advance the capabilities of designers, fabricators, and constructors to solve the world’s social and environmental problems. My focus is always to look to the future and understand how what we do today must change and be reshaped by technologies and the advancements in how we create the best environments. My goal is to challenge the board and AIA members to think beyond today and envision a different tomorrow where architects deliver greater value for their clients and communities by digitally integrating the construction and operation of all buildings.”
